Safeway is good at pissing their customers off

Want to use the cash on your EBT card in the Safeway app or on their site? Good luck, you can’t. I even removed my debit card, and still can’t.

Going to their site in a web browser makes no difference.

They seem to say you can use your card on your EBT card, don’t ask me how. There’s no box to enter the cash amount you want charged.

So I removed that one item instead. Screw em. I’ll just wait until I get a Target pickup. I may run out of it before then, but oh well. I shouldn’t be forced to use my debit card, when there’s plenty of cash on the card for that one item.

Maybe I should tell EBT Safeway won’t let me use the tiny amount of cash they give me. Won’t be using it at Target either, as the order will probably be too much for what’s on the cash. And they might not take EBT at all there. In other words, EBT cash is too much of a hassle to use. So they can stop giving me EBT cash, I don’t care.
