If it was actually removed, and put back on, that could mean Aliens abducted me, took my watch off, then put it back on. So instead of me waking up because the watch isn't on, they did it for me.

Hmm, but if they abducting me, why? They haven't cured my IBS yet. I'll keep most of the insanity, they can get rid of the agitation though.
