Charger came
My Hitec RDX1 Pro charger came today, the tracking said Monday, but it came early. Their site estimated today though when I ordered it.
I didn't follow the warnings exactly, there's dust on the shelf it's on. Says not to use it near dust or something. Guess I should have dusted it before cycling my old Tenergy battery.
Not sure what to discharge it at, so selected 0.5A. Instead of the default 1.0A. I lowered the charge rate to 1.0A, the default was over 3 I think, that would most likely destroy the battery.
Looks like I bought the right temperature sensor, the manual it came with has the part number for the temperature sensor. The only one Hobby Town has made by Hitec works, that's the temperature sensor I ordered.
While it's charging it says the mA. So I'll know how much mA it has when it's done, the battery is supposed to be 3000mAh. Should I have done two cycles? Cause it might charge it then discharge it, then be done. Which is useless.
There's a bad review saying the cell overheated when charging it, most likely user error, on the Tenergy battery I have. I don't believe the battery is at fault, unless they got a defective battery. Most likely they charged at 3A and killed it.
I did get an Amazon gift card. I might order some high capacity batteries. The Tenergy ones might not fit in my controller, so probably the Amazon ones, which are less mAh though. Some people had issues with the Tenergy batteries. I've had issues with Amazon rechargeable batteries, but I still buy them. I bought C rechargeable batteries from Amazon a while back.
I don't think I've ever had issues with regular Tenergy batteries. Only the RC battery that was left unused for a long ass time, the description says to charge it every six months, I didn't do that.
One review on some batteries says they don't use a $40 cheap charger, they use "professional" chargers. I don't think I've ever spent much more then $40 on a charger. Except for this one. Where do I get a professional charger? Not on Amazon. My $20 or so charger works fine, and I think can refresh batteries or something. I usually use it instead of my older one, which might have cost more. Bought that one so I can charge all four C batteries at the same time.
I reset the Apple Watch, but restored a backup, so I probably didn't fix it. I'll probably need to reboot it at some point for no WiFi staying connected. Probably should have selected setup as new.
Except, it's still having me configure stuff. I set it to the list view for the apps, as I don't know what icon is what. The list view says the app name. Instead of a bunch of little icons, you have to guess what is what.
Is the charger new? No plastic on the screen, and the box wasn't sealed. At Hobby Town, they opened the box when I bought an RC car, before I took it home. So they might check stuff online too. It seems to work, so who cares.
