I was seeing if anybody is selling the PinePhone on Amazon, doesn’t look like it, it just found Android phones.

Can you put a custom ROM on TCL phones? I don’t want any Google apps. Not even the Play Store. You can buy that sooner than a PinePhone, and the PinePhone is beta. Sooner as in, no pre ordering required. Who knows when you’ll get the PinePhone if you pre order it.

iOS 15 isn’t out yet, so I have plenty of time to find a new phone.

Apple abandoned their privacy stance, so now there’s no benefit in using them. Yeah they might have the fastest CPU, but they also have a backdoor.

I’ll be gladly buying a Steam Deck next year. Maybe I’ll get lucky, and get to buy it sooner. It uses Linux.

Maybe I’ll get a cheap ass flip phone.

Motorola has a 5G phone for $350. Are custom ROMs available yet? Probably not. I won’t use it without a custom ROM. Does LineageOS work without GApps? You might be able to but this is better. Probably no build for the motorola one 5G ace. This might be even better. That would mean a Pixel phone for that.

The Pixel 4a with 5G is sold out, and costs $500, if I recall correctly, the regular 4a is $350 I think. Wait for the Pixel 6, and the 4a with 5G might get cheaper.

An Android phone without Google apps, brilliant, seems like buying a cheap flip phone would be better.
